Мехмед II Завоеватель , также известный как Мехмед Эль-Фатих, Магомет Великий, Магомет Завоеватель — османский султан. С шестилетнего возраста был правителем Манисы. В мае 1453 года войска во главе с Мехмедом II захватили Константинополь. В ходе Балканских войн завоевал Сербию, Герцеговину, Албанию и т. д.. В 1467 году Мехмед II подошёл к владениям мамлюкских правителей Караманидов — Ак-Коюнлу — Мемлюк. В 1479 году Мехмед II предпринял поход против венецианцев, держащих обширную территорию Албании под контролем. Мехмед II осадил крепости Шкодер и Круя , после чего венецианцы предложили мир.
