Джон Холбрук Вэнс — американский писатель, работавший в жанрах «фэнтези» и научной фантастики.

Вэнс опубликовал одиннадцать детективных повестей под своим настоящим именем и три детективных повести под псевдонимом Эллери Куин . Кроме того, он публиковал повести и рассказы под псевдонимами Алан Уэйд , Питер Хелд , Джон ван Зее и Джей Каванс .
